Peace Out Skincare's new 2% Salicylic Acid Early Stage Acne Dot is designed to proactively head off below-the-surface blemishes before they turn into full-blown acne.

The Early Stage Acne Dot comprises a hydrocolloid patch featuring 430 medicated self-dissolving microneedles that penetrate the skin to facilitate enhanced absorption of its 2% salicylic acid, niacinamide and succinic acid content.

In effect, the patches address blemishes at the source by unclogging pores, reducing inflammation, fading hyperpigmentation, and controlling and balancing excess sebum production.

Per the brand, a consumer study found that 100% of users experienced the disappearance of early stage acne within 72 hours, while 97% reported that nascent pimples were "visibly calmed" and diminished in size and redness after a single use.

The speed of the treatment speaks to shoppers' desire for fast-acting acne care. A 2020 consumer study found that, "Fifty-eight percent of all consumers say a product not getting rid of acne quickly/immediately is their top complaint/concern about acne products."

The patches are Sephora certified clean, cruelty-free, vegan and gluten-free. They retail for $19 for a pack of 8 microneedling dots and are available at PeaceOutSkincare.com and Sephora.com. The dots will expand to U.S. nationwide stores in January 2024.

"At Peace Out Skincare our mission is to create an all-encompassing collection of innovative, first-to-market, targeted products and routines for your skin's lifetime journey," says founder and CEO Enrico Frezza. "While as a brand we have formulated products that are suited for all different skin needs and ages, with the launch of Early Stage Acne Dot we are re-focusing on the skin concern that started it all—acne. As someone who experienced the effects of chronic cystic acne firsthand, I know how debilitating it can be to feel as though there is no solution. My goal in creating Early Stage Acne Dot was to bring to market a revolutionary new offering to attack a blemish at the first sign and to give users similar benefits to a cortisone shot without the added expense and inconvenience."
