Symrise’s multifunctional stabilizer SymSave H (INCI: Hydroxyacetophenone), launched in July 2013, was awarded the SEPAWA association's Innovation Award 2013 during the group's recent event, held in Fulda, Germany. This specialist association for cosmetic, perfume and detergent companies gathers once a year to talk about the latest innovations. The multifunctional ingredient SymSave H drew industry interest for its antioxidant and skin-soothing effects. It also boosts the effectiveness of preservatives in cosmetic formulas and end products, respectively. The ingredient is a nature-identical raw material to that which occurs naturally in the cloudberry (Rubus chamaemorus).
“SEPAWA has once again proved its relevance for the industry, which is why the SEPAWA Innovation award is so important for us,” explained Gabriele Vielhaber, PhD, senior vice president for the global business unit of cosmetic ingredients at Symrise, in a press statement. “The award represents both recognition and incentive to further develop substances that meet the needs of the industry and consumers alike.”
