Kiehl's is formulating with Centella asiatica in one of the latest two additions to its Dermatologist Solutions line. The company will intoduce Centella Skin-Calming Facial Cleanser and Line-Reducing Eye Brightening Contentrate in October.
According to the company, Centella asiatica, or "the tiger herb," was rolled around in by Bengal tigers in Asia for its healing and soothing benefits. The company, therefore, utilized the herb in its skin-calming cleanser along with aloe vera and chamomile extract to reduce skin irritation and provide relief.
The main ingredient in the company's eye concentrate is ascorbic acid. The ascorbic acid is combined with haloxyl in an anhydrous base, which allows the company to include vitamin C at 10.5% without irritation.
