Synactin AC (INCI: Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides (and) Ethyl Linoleate (and) Hexyresorcinol) was designed to address the major targets of acne while preventing hyperpigmentation. A six-week clinical study with 3% Synactin AC lotion showed an overall positive response: subjects felt it reduced the appearance of acne lesions (inflammatory and non-inflammatory) and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and improved the overall texture/appearance of skin. The anti-acne benefits of Synactin AC can be further improved by combining it with salicylic acid, which is required for an anti-acne claim; and bakuchiol, an inhibitor of squalene peroxide, which promotes acne.
