Procter & Gamble brand Frédéric Fekkai has added a highlight treatment to its Salon Technician Color Care line. Salon Technician Highlight Care Illuminating Cream was created to protect highlights from fading and brassiness in addition to leaving them soft and shiny.
According to the company, those with colored hair often complain of dull and damaged hair (caused by lifting color versus depositing); brassiness and unwanted red and orange tones; and accelerated color fading from exposure to sunlight, water or other environmental factors.
Similar to the rest of the line, the cream contains galanga root extract to reportedly target damaged hair and seals the cuticle with a conditioning layer. The cream also is formulated with sunflower oil extract to protect hair from UV-induced fading and brassiness due to its content of vitamin A, D and E. In addition, the cream contains the company's Shine Light Complex, which is said to help preserve intensity and provide vibrancy and shine to highlights.
