Making the most of make-up at in-cosmetics


With cosmetic manufacturers looking to take advantage of the opportunities that innovations in color have brought, the organizers of in-cosmetics Global—the world’s leading personal care ingredient event—will deliver a range of opportunities to learn more about the booming makeup sector.

Extending the focus on color and makeup at the 2017 event—taking place in London from April, 4-6, 2017—will be the new Make-up Bar. Designed specifically to enable R&D professionals to identify innovative pigments and technology to inspire new trend-setting products, it will feature some of the world’s most innovative suppliers.

Sponsored by BASF (Germany), the Make-up Bar will feature innovations from across the globe. As well as enjoying the new Make-up Bar, visitors will be able to learn about the latest color trends through the educational program. One such session will take place in the formulation lab, where R&D professionals and finished product manufactures will be provided with a hands-on demonstration with IRO-ODORI: jelly eye shadow. Combining two words—IRO means color and ODORI means dance—the formula aims to embody the concept of movement through the use of Japanese emulsion technology.

Of particular interest for R&D professionals, it includes a twist on conventional anhydrous eyeshadow formulas. This incorporates quick-break technology to create a watery touch, aiding colour intensity, spread and durability against sweat or sebum. The workshop will also take a peek into Japanese culture by using a traditional Japanese color.
