CellCeuticals Skin Care Inc. has launched a daily face lotion formulated to protect the skin from the premature aging caused by sun damage and free radicals. PhotoDefense SPF 55 contains patent-pending Photoplex, a photostable complex with Cellular Excited Energy Quenchers (EEQ) Technology to fight both glycation and oxidation. The complex is said to provide broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection and quench free radicals and advanced glycation end products to prevent skin aging.
The product also contains the company's Auto-Defense System, a combination of hibiscus, ferula, pear, and green tea extracts to firm skin and provide antioxidant protection. Microalgae and astaxanthin are formulated into the product for additional antioxidant protection and anti-glycation cellular protection. Finally, cholecalciferol, a form of vitamin D, is included to support skin repair and provide antioxidant protection.
