Clariant has launched Phenoxetol SG (INCI: Not Provided), a 100% bio-ethanol perservative for antimicrobial use. Applications include creams, lotions, liquid soap, wet wipes, hair condintioners and shampoos.

Per the company, consumers are demanding more sustainable beauty products. This market trend is also affecting preservatives as one of the core ingredients of cosmetic formulations.

Phenoxetol SG offers the same performance as the fossil-based phenoxyethanol but comes with a higher naturality index.
