Balancing Desquamation and Hydration

Lipotec released a product designed to address proper moisturization following exfoliation to avoid abnormal desquamation. Peelmoist (INCI: Water (aqua) (and) Glycerin (and) Papain (and) Calcium Pantothenate (and) Xanthan Gum (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Urea (and) Magnesium Lactate (and) Ethylhexylglycerin (and) Potassium Lactate (and) Serine (and) Alanine (and) Proline (and) Magnesium Chloride (and) Sodium Citrate) is a molecular film formulated to optimize the delivery of the proteolytic enzyme papain, which selectively degrades the corneodesmosomal linkages between damaged or dead skin cells, resulting in dry skin.

According to the company, the peel also works to improve and preserve the natural barrier function of the epidermis to enhance moisture absorption. The product also reduces the drying effect of stratum corneum turnover and prevents the disruption of the water barrier function that leads to dehydration.
