On March 3, 2026, Sironix Renewables announced its expansion into the personal care sector with the launch of two high-performance, bio-based surfactants: Furasoft-LFS and Furasoft-SF. This ingredient line is produced from upcycled feedstocks and uses proven furan structures for personal care applications.
“We created the Furasoft personal care line to help companies meet growing demand for better-performing products that are milder, softer and more sustainable,” said Christoph Krumm, chief executive officer and co-founder. “At Sironix, we are committed to changing the way the world cares for itself. Furasoft is the next step in this journey, and we’re proud of these two breakthrough ingredients that offer companies the flexibility and reliability they’ve come to expect from us.”
According to the company’s press release, the Furasoft line delivers 65-75% lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to petrochemical alternatives. Further, the line is free from sulfates, nitrosamines and 1,4-dioxane. Both ingredients are described as formulator friendly to integrate seamlessly into existing surfactant systems.
Furasoft-SF is designed for ultra-mind, high-foam personal care products. It offers a rich, long-lasting foam performance with enhanced foam density, creaminess and stability.
Furasoft-LFS offers high-performance cleansing with mildness and formulation flexibility. The company claims that the ingredient delivers up to 30% longer lasting foaming and cleansing compared to conventional surfactants.
“We have received strong early customer feedback on Furasoft’s performance and sustainability attributes,” Krumm added. “Customers are looking for something new to improve their formulation performance and environmental profile, and we’re excited to be able to deliver on both.”
Sironix Renewables’ Furasoft line is now available for request through the company website.
