Shiloxome (INCI: Not Provided) utilizes this technology as a tracable fermented restructuring active with well-aging benefits that is the result of the isolation of the endophytec yeast from the inside of the bark of the cork oak (Kwoniella mangroviensis). It produces a protective ingredient for the skin, per the company.

Exposomic research has shown that the ingredient prevents ROS formation and maintains the microbiome diversity. Further, an in vivo lipidomic analysis evidences its reinforcement on the whole lipidome profile thanks to reducing the pollution-induced lipid peroxidation that prevents lipid chain elongation, per the company.
