Disclosed herein is the use of dedifferentiated plant cells obtained from Bougainvillea to encapsulate active ingredients, in particular for cosmetics.

Also disclosed is a method for preparing cosmetic compositions including such cells and a non-therapeutic skin treatment for improving the firmness of the skin by promoting the regeneration of the skin dermis and epidermis.
