Described in this patent are cosmetic compositions for alleviating signs of photo-aged skin. These contain a substituted azole, chosen from 1-phenylimidazole, 4-phenylimidazole or a combination thereof.
An effective amount of the composition is applied to the targeted UV-exposed skin surface for a period of time sufficient to alleviate at least one sign of photo-aging.
