Skin health is impacted by microbes such as germs, bacteria, fungi, yeasts, molds, viruses, etc., and to reduce their invasion, consumers frequently wash with personal care compositions. In relation, the inventors propose improving skin health by applying compositions including low levels of zinc-containing materials and/or pyrithione.
Specifically, one personal care composition is described containing 0.003% w/w to 0.02% w/w of a zinc-containing material and a pyrithione material. In addition to such low levels, the compositions are substantially surfactant-free.
