Skin-stress Connection Key to Dermatoses

Psychoneuroendocrinoimmunology is the (impressive) title of a recently released book chapter from The Essentials of Psychodermatology. In it, the authors explore the stress-skin connection.

Biological links are made between nutrition, the gut-skin connection, mental health and neuroendocrinoimmunology. Psychophysiological dermatoses are examined in this context, and hypotheses presented including the dysfunction of hormone release, neuropeptides and their skin and hair receptors, and more.
