Skin-moisturizing or wrinkle-improving external composition and cosmetic composition
European Patent Application EP2954897
Publication date: Dec. 16, 2015
Assignee: Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine
According to these inventors, cosmetics containing collagen are used to address wrinkles. However, collagen, which is a polymer, is barely absorbed into the percutaneous layer and thus performs little function, resulting in insignificant wrinkle improvement.
As a result, the present composition was designed to effectively impart skin-moisturizing and wrinkle-improving effects. It contains, as an active ingredient, a compound extracted from the evergreen perennial Anemarrhena asphodeloides Bunge, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
Said composition prevents skin moisture loss and suppresses skin tissue damage induced by UV rays, in turn providing skin-wrinkle preventing or alleviating effects.
