Experimentation is the catalyst to innovation. When continuously working with the same ingredients to create new formulas it can become difficult to push the envelope and develop a unique product. In a market flooded with new and exciting ingredients, there is a necessity to experiment.

The ingredient world is as exciting as it has ever been right now. With a constant influx of companies trying to break barriers and develop fresh ideas that land in formulas, formulators have a world of potential when it comes to creation. Yet so many options can become overwhelming. 

Some ingredients may simply not work well with the formula being created; others may be perfect, but it is difficult to know until that prototype has been made.
