AAK USA, a anufacturer of vegetable fats and oils across numerous industries, recently welcomed Alyssa Elvambuena as scientist II for the personal care team.
As scientist II, personal care, Elvambuena is based out of AAK’s Richmond, California, innovation center. She is responsible for supporting the personal care team in developing on-trend formulations, featuring product portfolio solutions, providing technical insight and product-specific application knowledge, and further educating customers in AAK's plant-based ingredients for the beauty industry.

Prior to joining AAK, Elvambuena served as product quality coordinator for Sephora. Previously, she worked in formulation roles for method products under SC Johnson lifestyle brands. She earned a bachelor’s degree in management of applied chemistry from Ateneo de Manila University.
