Nu Skin Enterprises Inc. has begun developing the Nu Skin Innovation Park in Shanghai, which will feature anti-aging R&D laboratories. The approximately US $50 million complex will serve as the headquarters for the Greater China region, and in addition to anti-aging R&D labs, it will also feature manufacturing facilities, modern meeting spaces and spacious green areas.
According to the company, the new innovation facility is a reflection of its opportunities in China, specifically mainland China. The facility will be located in the heart of Shanghai's Fengxian district. As the largest corporate complex for the company, it will be situated on 57 acres and encompass approximately 33,000 m2 (355,210 square feet).
The facility's new anti-aging laboratories will also bring most of Nu Skin's China-based scientists together, fostering additional collaboration and advancement opportunities.
The company anticipates the completion of the Innovation Park to be mid-2013 and is seeking LEED Gold certification for the facility's environmentally conscious features.
