Stephens & Associates, Inc.—a contract research organization dedicated to providing clinical research services with quality standards to skin science clients in dermatology, cosmetics, medical devices and personal care—announced the opening of its full service facility in Phoenix.
“The company made a significant investment in both biophysical skin instrumentation and digitized imaging equipment; we have instruments designed to evaluate skin changes in moisture content, amount of pigmentation, skin surface smoothness and deepness of lesions,” explained Lawrence A. Rheins, Ph.D., senior director, Phoenix, Stephens & Associates.
Phoenix is the fifth largest metropolitan U.S. city and is home to the Scottsdale Mayo Clinic alongside teaching universities, which provides a range of professionals to draw from to act as principal or sub-investigators.
“The company has taken a comprehensive approach to our ability to staff, populate and conduct clinical trials,” added Thomas J. Stephens, Ph.D., founder and president, Stephens & Associates. “We are building relationships with medical and esthetic dermatologists, plastic surgeons, internists and podiatrists to help Stephens conduct world-class trials for our global clients.”
