Monell Chemical Senses Center’s board of directors has selected Robert Margolskee, MD, PhD, as the center’s next director and president, effective Oct. 1, 2014. He succeeds Gary Beauchamp, PhD, who is stepping down after 24 years with the organization.
Margolskee joined Monell’s faculty in 2009 and was appointed associate director in 2010. Among his successes, Monell highlights Margolskee’s role as architect and principle investigator of the center's NIH-funded Core Center for the Chemical Senses, and his oversight of Monell’s current strategic plan.
