Seqens Cosmetic Natural Ingredients (Seqens) has appointed ChemSpec’s cosmetics division as its U.S. distributor for natural actives and botanicals.

Seqens Cosmetic Natural Ingredients is a division of Seqens Specialty Ingredients within the Seqens Group, and is based in Limoges, France. It offers a range of botanical extracts and fully substantiated active ingredients manufactured in an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EcoVadis Gold production site. In addition, 90% of its portfolio is COSMOS-compliant.

Ohio-based ChemSpec distributes specialty ingredients to the North American cosmetics market. Its cosmetics division will be presenting Seqens's product offerings in a series of webinars throughout 2021.

The DNA & Cosmetics consortium, comprising Clarins, Croda Beauty Actives, DNA Gensee, Greentech, L'Oréal and Nuxe, is working toward a database that can connect the dots along the natural ingredient supply chain.
