TRI/Princeton Announces 3rd Hair Conference

TRI/Princeton has made a call for abstracts and sponsors for its 3rd International Conference on Applied Hair Science. The event will be hosted in Princeton, N.J., USA, on Sept. 15-16, 2008, and will focus on hair and fiber research.

The conference will give the hair care industry an innovative, sophisticated forum to discuss ideas, learn cutting-edge techniques and methods, and enhance the quality and efficacy of their products. International panelists, presenters, and attendees will meet to study and talk about significant topics to the raw material and product industries. Lectures by acclaimed leaders of hair science and technology will cover fundamental principles as well as contemporary experimental techniques. Oral presentations and poster sessions will supplement keynote lectures.

TRI/Princeton requests submissions on hair science and its applications for oral presentations, technical papers and poster presentations. Several topics will be highlighted at the conference including chemical, physical, and surface properties of hair; measurement of consumer-desired attributes such as luster, body, and smoothness; fundamental mechanisms of hair damage and its prevention; ethnic hair studies; and product efficacy, as well as numerous others.
