Answering calls from cosmetics producers and consumers for mild cleansing products with excellent foaming and pleasing rheological properties, Evonik launched a concentrated surfactant based on RSPO-certified sustainable palm kernel oil. TEGO Betain P 50 C (INCI: Cocamidopropyl Betaine) lends an improved cost/performance ratio compared to standard CAPBs. The 38% active betaine provides thickening performance, is easy to process and delivers generous foam combined with a pleasant skin feel.
The predominantly renewable, palm-based feedstock and the high product purity of the preservative-free betaine supports an environmentally conscious approach. It is suitable for a range of applications in the cleansing care market, including body washes, shampoos, liquid soaps, foam baths, oral care and soap bars.
