As cosmetic chemists know, aging, exposure to adverse environments, fatigue and the like change the visual appearance, properties or functions of skin in undesired ways. These may include reduced elasticity and firmness, increased sagging, the development of lines, wrinkles, pits, nodules, age spots, etc.
According to Mary Kay inventors, current product offerings do not provide a sufficient treatment option, or they require a multitude of different compositions to treat this array of physiological changes. However, a unique combination of natural skin actives, including açaí palm and pomegranate, was identified that can treat these symptoms simultaneously.
In addition to the actives, moisturizers, sunscreens and a cationic surfactant were combined and found to protect and hydrate the skin, revitalize and rebuild the supportive dermal matrix, reduce uneven pigmentation and more. All of which can be achieved in a single topical skin care composition.
