Active Concepts has entered the cannabis cosmetics race. Its recent launch, AC Hemp Oil Liposome PF (INCI: Water (aqua) (and) Phospholipids (and) Cannabis Sativa Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract), marries the anti-inflammatory effects of cannabinoids with modern encapsulation technology for use in anti-aging skin and hair care formulations.

The botanical ingredient reportedly fights oxidation and inflammaging—aging accelerated by inflammation. To do so, hemp oil was encapsulated into liposomes for enhanced delivery. These liposomes then block Interleukin-6 activity, a factor linked to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.
AC Hemp Oil Liposome PF was created with CBD-rich hemp oil extracted from the entire plant; this creates the entourage effect, in which all of the natural compounds in cannabis are used instead of just one, and is said to boost overall efficacy.
Preservative-free, the functional active is recommended to be used at 1-10%.
