KCC Silicone and LG Household & Health Care (LG H&H) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) formalizing a partnership to research silicone polymer materials for UV protection optimization.

According to the companies, the collaboration will leverage LG H&H’s expertise in UV formulations and KCC Silicone’s high-purity polymer technology to create sun care products that offer "superior UV-blocking and enhanced sensory performance."
The joint project will cover material development, sun care formulations, efficacy testing and a framework for sharing research results and academic collaboration.

Liam Song, CEO of KCC Silicone, added, “The two companies will work closely together to continuously strengthen the innovative development of the K-beauty industry and its competitiveness in the global market."
