Using Pigmented UV Filters for Inclusive Sun Care

Versatile and inclusive color cosmetics meet sun protection in ADP Cosmetics' recent launch: mineral UV filters created to provide intense color to various shades of sunscreen and cosmetic formulations.

The new nano-free ingredients join three existing shades, allowing formulators to choose one or use multiple to create custom shades, which can ostensibly match a wide range of skin tones.

The new options are:

  • EnhanceU-T-tan (INCI: Titanium Dioxide (and) Iron Oxide (and) Silica)
  • EnhanceU-T-rich (INCI: Titanium Dioxide (and) Iron Oxide (and) Silica)

The natural filters are Ecocert- and Cosmos- approved to enable a high SPF, along with broad-spectrum protection, stability and photostability in formulations. They are reportedly compatible with chemical UV filters.
