Our popular Matcha Green Tea Butter (INCI: Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil (and) Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (and) Camellia Sinensis Leaf Powder) is no exception. Green tea is well-known for its medicinal benefits, and has been used topically in Asia for over 1200 years to help treat skin issues, including protection from sun’s damaging UVB rays. Its high content of xanthines, such as caffeine and theobromine, have natural anti-inflammatory, anti-cellulite and anti-irritancy benefits.
Biochemica® Matcha Green Tea contains microfine powder made from matcha leaves handpicked in Japan. The powder is then suspended in butter so the plant’s benefits are retained within a highly stable base.
