Silicone Phase and Pigments
This foundation is a water-in-silicone system. Emulsifying System
This formulation includes a mild emulsifying system consisting of polysorbate 20, disodium cocoyl glutamate, sodium cocoyl glutamate and polyglyceryl-4 isostearate.
The glycols, i.e., butylene glycol, hexylene glycol, caprylyl glycol and dipropylene glycol, act as solvents, increasing the viscosity of the bulk of the formulation, which consists of the emollients, polymers, softening and conditioning agents: hexyl laurate, nylon-12, ethylhexylglycerin, magnesium sulfate, synthetic fluorphlogopite, calcium aluminium borosilicate, lauroyl lysine and tribehenin.
Sodium chloride is used to modify the texture consistency, and sodium citrate as a buffering agent.
Active Ingredients
The active ingredients are: an extract from Indian Cress, i.e., Tropaeolum Majus flower/leaf/stem extract, with its skin-toning, conditioning and antimicrobial properties; lactic acid and glycerin, promoting moisturization and regular skin turn-over; and the vitamins C and E derivatives: tocopheryl acetate, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, and tocopherol.
The formulation is preserved by phenoxyethanol.
The ingredients in this formulation appear to be in line with the claims being made, although the non-comedogenic and dermatologist-approved aspects are not documented.
