Alberto-Culver brand St. Ives has combined salicylic acid and green tea to formulate two natural, anti-acne cleansing products. Naturally Clear Green Tea Cleanser and Green Tea Scrub are said to clear breakouts and reduce redness.
Naturally Clear Green Tea Scrub incorporates silica (sand) as a gentle, natural exfoliant. In addition, the product is formulated with green tea to soothe the skin. Green tea also reportedly protects the skin from free radicals due to its antioxidant content. Finally, the product includes olive oil and olive leaf extract to soften skin, due to their glyceride content. According to the company, olive oil and olive leaf cleanse the skin gently while adding moisture.
