Carter LaVay passed away on April 20, 2023, per an industry colleague and trusted source. He was best known as the president and founder of Zenitech Corp., a raw material specialty company known primarily for waxes and butters.
LaVay was the inventor on a dozen U.S. patents and was an author of the book Oils of Nature.
Prior to Zenitech, LaVay served as president of Hansotech Corp. He was also market development manager at GAF, specializing in chemicals, building products and photographic and reprographic processes.
