V/WA (INCI: Alteromonas Ferment Extract) is obtained from the fermentation of the newly identified Alteromonas lipotrueae species, living in symbiosis with the Mediterranean’s most-stinging jellyfish, Pelagia noctiluca. Metabolomic analysis of the ferment confirmed it contains biomimetic compounds linked to muscle contraction. It has been shown to relax expression wrinkles and smooth crow’s feet wrinkles, and even hidden wrinkles that are only revealed with smiling or frowning.
