The Maison de la Cosmétique (House of Cosmetics) project officially launched in October, marking a monumental step for the French perfume and cosmetics industry. This ambitious project, spearheaded by Cosmetic Valley and supported by Chartres Métropole, aims to celebrate the industry’s heritage, innovation and global influence.

Key Ceremony for the Founding Patrons

During an exclusive event at the Petit Palais in Paris, Cosmetic Valley symbolically presented keys to the house to nine founding patrons, including:

  1. Puig

  2. Silab

  3. Chanel Parfums Beauté

  4. Credit Agricole Val de France

  5. Groupe Pochet

  6. Verescence

  7. L'Oréal France

  8. Groupe IDEC and

  9. LVMH Beauty.

The event also marked the launch of a major fundraising campaign, with a goal of raising between €7.5 and €10 million by 2028.

Set to open in late 2028 opposite the iconic Chartres Cathedral, the Maison de la Cosmétique will feature a 1,000 m² immersive experience, a 400 m² Cosmétopée garden, workspaces, event areas and a creativity lab. This 2,650m² space, in total, will serve as a hub for professionals, researchers, students and the public, embodying the values of excellence, innovation, sustainability and inclusion.

The Maison aims to attract 100,000 visitors annually, showcasing the €71 billion French cosmetics industry, which supports more than 226,000 jobs and 6,300 establishments. As a "cathedral" of beauty and innovation, it promises to unite science, art and society while championing ethical and sustainable practices.

Marc Antoine Jamet, president of Cosmetic Valley, described the project as a living symbol of the unity and diversity of the beauty industry, emphasizing its role as a beacon of progress and creativity.
