BASF has announced a price increase for its care chemicals portfolio globally, with immediate effect. The company claims that continually rising costs for raw materials, transportation and energy are responsible for the price adjustment. Since the COVID-19 pandemic started in 2020, BASF has increased prices for its polyalcohols in Europe, palm oleo derivatives in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and care chemicals portfolio globally.
