The NYSCC Suppliers' Day is right around the corner, running May 1-3, 2023, and showcasing the latest innovations, ingredients, technology and sustainable efforts in the cosmetics industry.
The event will present 448 exhibitors to nearly 8,000 registrants attending in person and more than 300 attending virtually. Additionally, it will enlighten attendees 100+ educational sessions on biotechnology, digital beauty, fragrance, microbiome and more.

Awards Night
NYSCC Suppliers' Day Awards Night will feature the CEW ingredient and formulation awards under the theme of renewal and wellness. The ticketed event will be held on May 2 at 9:00 pm at the hotel Eventi, offering attendees massage chairs, free psychic readings, live jazz, hors-d’Oeuvres and more. The event aims to honor those who are at the cutting edge of ingredient development and paying close attention to consumer demands.
World of Chemistry
On Tuesday, May 2, beginning at 10:00 am, the World of Chemistry track will open with a presentation by Nikola Matic, of Klinegroup, on the demand for active ingredients in Asia and specificities between countries. The overall track will deliver a global perspective and discussion on raw materials, solutions, formulation and regulations. Additional presenters will include experts from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and South America, where emerging trends continue to define the global beauty landscape.
Specific discussions will cover a range of topics, including compliant ingredient development in Canada, trends in the Brazilian hair care market, a global tour of cosmetic products, clean beauty in Australia, the rising popularity of peptide chemistry and more.
Reimagining, Renewal and Wellness
Jay Ansell, Ph.D. vice president, cosmetic programs at the Personal Care Products Council, will moderate the Modernizing Cosmetics Regulation session, running Wednesday, May 3, from 9:55 am -2:00 pm. A hot topic in the industry, the passage of the U.S. Modernization of Cosmetic Regulation Act (MoCRA) of 2022 will be discussed alongside GMPs, cosmetic safety, labeling, the future of European cosmetics and more.
Microbiome: Inside/Out Beauty
Moderated by Sarah de Szaley, of Gattefosse, on Tuesday, May 2, from 10:00 am -12:55 pm, a dedication session will delve into microbiome innovations and technologies, which continue to dominate the landscape. This program will offer different expert perspectives and insights on microbiome health.
Specific topics to be discussed include: advanced microbiome skin models, how to care for the female microbiome, leveraging microbiome data for product development and personalization, the oral microbiome and others.
The Main Stage
This year, the main stage will be lead by speakers Stacey House, NYSCC chair, and Sue Feng, Ph.D., chief scientific officer at E.T. Browne Drug Company. Featured discussions will be an influencer chemist panel, cosmetic claims and compliance controls, ingestible beauty and inclusive beauty.
