The program has been published for the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists' (IFSCC) 22nd Conference, this year being held for the first time in Brazil and held in conjunction with the Brazilian Association of Cosmetology (ABC).
The event, held Oct 30-Nov. 1, 2013 at the Windsor Barra Hotel in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, will feature speakers on dermocosmetics, the Xerotic skin signature, nanotechnology, safe hair straightening, formulating for photodamaged skin, and more under the theme "Boosting Cosmetic Science in Rio."
Keynote lecturers will include: João Carlos Basilio, president of ABIHPEC, on the Brazilian cosmetics market; Zoe Draelos on Dermocosmetics; Silvia Guterrez on anti-aging formulations and nanotechnology; Gerard Provot on innovating safe hair straightening products; and Michael Roberts on the penetration of nano-inorganic and organic sunscreens.The Henry Maso Award lecture will be given by Hu Shuting on natural phenolics from the twig of Cudrania tricuspidata as hypogimenting agents against melanogenesis.
