Christoph Riemer, Ph.D., has been appointed to the role of CEO of the Zschimmer & Schwarz Group, effective Jan. 1, 2023. CFO Dietmar Clausen and chief operating officer (COO) Felix Grimm, Ph.D., were also appointed.

In his new role, Riemer will determine the future course of the group.
Wolfgang Nowak, general manager operations, left the group to pursue other avenues and Martin Haberl, Ph.D., general manager sales and marketing, retired; although he will still be available in an advisory capacity.
"With Wolfgang Nowak, Dr. Martin Haberl and Dietmar Clausen at the head of Zschimmer & Schwarz, the family business with a long tradition has grown strongly, opened up new sales markets and developed into a globally active supplier of chemical specialties and auxiliaries," says Bernd Reckmann, Ph.D., chairman of the advisory board, in praise of the achievements of the previous general management.
At the same time, he emphasizes the management expertise of Riemer, who has been a member of the general management since August 2022: "Dr. Christoph Riemer is the ideal choice to drive the advancement of the Zschimmer & Schwarz Group. He has the full support of the Advisory Board and the shareholder families for the successful transformation of the company. We wish Dr. Riemer all the best for his new task as chief executive officer and look forward to continuing our cooperation!"
