Innospec Expands Esters to UK

Innospec will set up an ester manufacturing facility in Elesmere Port, UK, to supply the global personal care industry. The company  currently is based out of Delaware. The new plant construction is an effort to reduce costs on freight and shorten the supply chain to non-US countries, where the demand is said to be greater.

The plant was built over a period of eight months at a cost of US$1.2 million and production started up last month to produce Finsolv TN, an ester that was previously manufactured at the company's plant in Spencer, North Carolina. In addiiton to expanding its personal care line, the company has also expanded its fragrance manufacturing into the UK.
