Franchina Elected President of Colipa

Fabio Franchina has been elected to a two-year term as president of Colipa, the European Cosmetics Association. The election took place today during Colipa’s annual Statutory General Assembly in Vienna.

Franchina is the CEO of the Italian multinational cosmetics company Framesi. In 2005, he served as president of Unipro, an association representing the Italian cosmetics industry.

"It is an honor to represent the cosmetics industry in Europe at such a crucial time. Despite the current economic climate, our industry continues to work hard to provide consumers with the innovative products that they want," said Franchina in an association press release.

Colipa also named Marival Diez of Stanpa as vice president of the association. Gerd Ries of Johnson & Johnson will continue as vice president for a second term alongside Diez. In addition, Loïc Armand of L’Oréal was approved as vice president treasurer of the association.
