Shiseido Celebrates 30 Years in Dermatology, Extends Research Alliance

Celebrating 30 years in dermatology research, Shiseido Company, Ltd., announced it will extend collaborations with dermatological laboratory Cutaneous Biology Research Center (CBRC), effective July 2021 through June 2027.

CBRC was founded in 1989 and is known as a world-class laboratory in the field of dermatology. The center was established by Harvard Medical School Dermatology Research Labs and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, MA, USA.

Shiseido has collaborated for 30 years with the firm, pioneering open innovation and pursuing unprecedented research collaborations with external organizations both nationally and internationally. Much of this cutting-edge research is utilized in its product research and development.

Moving forward, to achieve its corporate mission, "Beauty Innovations for a Better World," Shiseido will continue research with CBRC in areas including UV rays and aging, as well as the development of innovative cosmetic products. Furthermore, the company will provide consumers with information to maintain healthy skin through seminars and symposiums.
