  • 70% of Croda’s raw materials come from renewable resources
  • In 2013 Croda invested $2.3 million in solar panels, which generate 5% of the company’s Atlas Point site in New Castle, DE
  • In 2012, it invested $8 million in a renewable energy project that uses the gases emitted from landfills to generate electricity and steam
  • Croda’s annual CO2 emissions have been cut by 11,600 due to renewable energy projects
  • These projects are responsible for generating 60% of the site’s energy
  • The Atlas Point site achieved a 78% reduction in landfill waste by increasing the use of solid waste as fuel and furthering recycling opportunities

Chris Sayner, vice president of Croda’s customer alliances and corporate sustainability, said, “It is great to receive this award and recognition of the sustainability credentials of our bio-based eco chemistry.”
