Connell Bros. Acquires Personal Care Distributor Newson International

Connell Bros. Company, a division of Wilbur-Ellis Co., has purchased Newson International Ltd., a distributor of personal care ingredients and fine chemicals.

Newson has locations in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shanghai. According to Connell, the acquisition will allow the company to increase its distribution of fine chemicals in personal care in China and the Asia Pacific region. In addition, the acquisition reportedly will make its ingredient offering in personal care more complete.

Through the acquisition, Connell will gain 24 employees in China, including Simon Chan who will join CBC as the division manager for personal care ingredients in China.Terence Cheung will join Connell as sales director for personal care ingredients in China.
