Givaudan Active Beauty has a reason to celebrate—its S3D ColourBack concept won the haircare actives Spotlight-on Formulation Award at in-cosmetics Asia, featuring its hair pigmentation-reactivating Darkenyl active.

The leave-on serum brings anti-aging technology to hair care, meant to recover graying hair’s natural color while protecting the hair shaft. Users are able to apply the serum directly to hair roots with a built-in comb applicator (pictured above).

The concept utilizes the following actives:

Darkenyl (INCI: Not Available)—an antioxidative hair care molecule that stimulates the recovery of natural hair pigmentation while boosting hair stem cell proliferation and migration by combining taxifolin glucoside and acetyl-tyrosine; and

ResistHyal (INCI: Water (aqua) (and) Sodium Hyaluronate (and) Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid (and) Phenoxyethanol (and) Lactic Acid)—contains an optimized ratio of hyaluronic acid to hydrate and protect hair while adding natural volume, suppleness and shine.

“We are extremely [honored] to get this global recognition from leading industry experts, showing how innovative active ingredients can enable to create disruptive and market-suitable concepts. S3DColourback is an impressive formula, offering a sensory experience for the user and a yet unmet efficacy through its two powerful active ingredients.

"This product reflects the high level of consumer understanding, formulation creativity and scientific performance of our experts who are dedicated at crafting inspirational products for our consumers,” said Fabrice Lefevre, Ph.D., marketing and innovation director, Givaudan Active Beauty.

in-cosmetics Asia was held from Oct. 30-31, 2018, in Bangkok.
