On May 27, 2025, Givaudan announced the launch of ChériScentz, a new fragrance technology that allows perfumers to create scents that evoke sensuality in their creations. ChériScentz will join the company’s existing line of neuroschence technology innovations, including MoodScentz+, VivaScentz and DreamScentz.
According to the company’s press release, ChériScentz was developed to meet consumer demands for scents that reflect authenticity, inclusivity and emotional connection.
“This innovative tool, which was conceived in Brazil, harnesses advanced research derived from global consumer studies and is evaluated using G-Evocations, a specialized method that assesses fragrance sensuality through visual stimuli,” said Jeremy Compton, global head of science and technology for fragrances at Givaudan. “This approach guarantees high discrimination, quality results and consumer relevance across diverse markets.”
The company’s internal data shows that 95% of Brazilian women surveyed find connection with their sensuality when using a perfume and 72% of French and American consumers stated that someone’s fragrance can make them want to touch or kiss them.
ChériScentz can be applied to a wide variety of fragrance offerings, including fine fragrances, bath products, laundry care and home care.
