Lipotec Highlights Pentapeptide to Treat Expression Wrinkles

Lipotec introduces a pentapeptide to fight expression wrinkles, Leuphasyl (INCI: Water (aqua) (and) glycerin (and) pentapeptide-3). According to the company, the ingredient is said to mimic the natural mechanism of enkephalins to “turn down” nerve cell activity to relax muscle contractions, thus reducing expression wrinkles.The efficacy of the ingredient as a wrinkle reducer was evaluated and reportedly showed a 11.64% deacrease in wrinkles (in a panel of 14 volunteers, with ages ranging from 39 to 64), when subjects were treated with a cream containing 5% of the ingredient for 28 days.
