Deinde, an emerging player in biotechnology-derived skin care, has lowered the price of two of its best-selling products. This decision stems from scaled production efforts and cost-reductions in manufacturing, enabling Deinde to pass the savings directly to its customers.
The key to this cost reduction lies in Deinde parent Debut's expanded biotech production of naringenin, a key ingredient featured in the products.
Due to this optimized production efficiency, here’s what consumers can expect with the new pricing:
- Skin-Strengthening Serum will now cost $68—a $20 savings and a 23% reduction from its previous price.
- Barrier-Building Moisture Cream will now be offered at $55—a $9 savings and a 14% price reduction.
Of the update, Joshua Britton, CEO of Deinde, says, "Deinde's mission is to broaden the reach and benefits of biotech beauty. The beauty industry faces a decades-long innovation lag that’s ripe for disruption–with many of the same active ingredients repackaged for 'new' products. Biotech delivers higher performing, novel active ingredients that are inherently sustainable and pure."
He adds, "We are proud to announce that we are reducing the price of two of our best-selling products–Deinde Skin-Strengthening Serum and Deinde Barrier-Building Moisture Cream. With the excitement and success around Deinde's first year in market, we were able to scale the production of these two products along with their novel ingredient, biotech naringenin–allowing us to lower specific manufacturing costs and pass the benefit back to the consumer."
He concludes, "With over 80 scientists behind the brand, Deinde is committed to advancing topical skin care with its nimble go-to-market product strategy that delivers higher-performing biotech-derived active ingredients at accessible, masstige price points."
