Rita Corporation recently presented a range of ingredient offerings at the 2025 Suppliers' Day event in New York, including Assessa's Zinbloq hair defense technology, Seiwa's iVC stable vitamin C derivatives and biobased surfactants under the Ritafactants brand.
Zinbloq: Advanced Hair Protection Technology by Assessa
Assessa's Zinbloq reportedly:
- Protects hair from environmental damage and oxidative stress.
- Strengthens hair, reduces breakage, and preserves the cuticle.
- Keeps hair shiny and improves combability.
- Prevents erosion of hair strands and reduces visible signs of aging.
The technology comprises:
- Zingiber officinale (ginger): A powerful antioxidant with bioactive compounds like gingerols and shogaols that neutralize free radicals, reduce oxidative stress, and prevent hair damage.
- Kappaphycus alvarezii: Acts as a natural coating agent, forming a protective barrier against pollution, UV radiation, and harsh chemicals, while reducing breakage and split ends.
- Sodium alginate: Functions as a chelation agent, detoxifying hair by binding to and removing heavy metals and pollutants that cause damage and dullness.
Superior Stability: Seiwa's iVC Vitamin C Derivatives
Seiwa's iVC stable vitamin C derivatives include DGA (bis-glyceryl acorbate) and 3GA (3-glyceryl ascorbate) variants. In testing vitamin C concentrated serums in 50C temperatures for three months, iVC DGA retained 98% stability and iVC 3GA boasted a residual ratio of 95%, compared to 57% and 68% residual ratios for conventional vitamin C and ascorbyl glucoside, respectively.
Eco-Friendly Ritafactants: Sustainable Surfactants for Personal Care and Household Products
Ritafactants are biobased surfactants made from renewable raw materials, designed to deliver effective and eco-friendly solutions for personal care and household products. They are said to be ideal for formulating low-irritation shampoos, body washes, facial cleansers, baby care products, shaving products, and environmentally friendly household cleaners.
Key features of Ritafactants include high foaming, mildness and cold process capability, making them versatile for a wide range of applications. They are plant-based, PETA/vegan compliant, RSPO MB certified and free from PROP 65 substances.
Additionally, Ritafactants are readily biodegradable and >99% biobased (except for SFE variants), making them a sustainable and environmentally conscious choice. Most Ritafactants are also ECOCERT certified, except SFE variants.
These surfactants combine performance with sustainability, meeting the growing demand for greener ingredients in both personal care and household formulations.
