The deadline for the 6th annual CITY Awards is vast approaching, as entries are due by April 16, 2009. The Cosmetic Innovators of the Year (CITY) awards are given by the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) to innovators in the beauty industry in recognition of their entrepreneurial spirit. Whether it's a branded product, an ingredient, a package design or an advertising campaign, the organization accepts a variety of innovations for the award.
The awards will be presented in the following categories: personal care product, color cosmetic product, skin care product (professional), skin care product (mass market), personal care package design, color cosmetic package design, skin care package design, print advertisement and Internet advertisement or web design.
To be eligible for the awards, ICMAD member companies must follow criteria specified for each award category. All products must have first shipped and marketing and advertising programs initiated between April 1, 2008, and March 1, 2009. The entry brochure is available online or by calling 1-800-334-2623.
The awards will be presented during the 36th ICMAD Annual Meeting dinner in New York on June 11, 2009.
