Physicians Formula Goes Public

Physicians Formula has registered for an IPO. In an initial public offering, the company has filed a registration statement with the SEC to sell $115 million in stock.  The company has explained that the net proceeds from the sale will be applied to its dept and for general administrative expenses. In addition, Ingrid Jackel's promotion from senior vice president of marketing to CEO and Jeff Roger's promotion from senior vice president to president will both be included in the sale.

The makeup company reportedly will list its common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol PHYS. The company generated $78.7 million in sales for 2005.
